I connected my GS911 to the bike after doing the service and the scan showed two error codes with the SOS system.

1) Fault Code Value : 0xB7F314
Fault Code Description : Emergency call loudspeaker: open circuit

2) Fault Code Value : 0xB7F30A
Fault Code Description : SIF: General Mobile Network Errors

Anyone know where the loudspeaker is located?

I was getting error messages on the TFT on and off for a while, which then cleared up. I now have a permanent message

Any help appreciated.

SOS speaker is incorporated in the switchgear where it says sos ...
Thanks.

I've never flipped up the cover.

Probably means that the switch has failed, not just a wire come adrift/broken.

Oh well.

I had to have the sos fitting replaced on my 68 plate gsa under warranty when it was less than a year old. They do fail. Is your bike still under warranty, if so take a trip to your local dealer...

Thanks.

Two years out of warranty. I'll leave for now.

Had issues with my sos system but the new battery sorted it.

Thanks.

The GS 911 says the speaker has an open circuit, so assume the switch is broken.

Looked on eBay, all bar one on sale (that I saw) were from Lithuania...

Probably where mine ended up.

Won't be buying from there - I'd rather put up with the warning triangle.

Do you have a bikermate with SOS? If you have you could swap the switch over to see if that got rid of the warning tiangle to save the diagnostic and fitting charges at the dealer.

Thanks, I'd rather not try one from another bike - I'd probably break it!

mine is showing fault, was in for service yesterday and was told BMW are working on a software update, apparantley theres several bikes affected
