Does anyone know? Is the emergency wallet key supposed to operate the keyless ignition? As mine doesn't cheers.

Yes, it should. Key is positioned under the rear mudguard then you press the start button.
Yes, but you have to place it in precisely the right position under the seat. There's a round area in the plastic cover above the rear wheel where you have to hold it whilst pressing the starter.
