End can 1250GS

Morning all

In January I pick up a new (to me) 2019 1250GS Rallye with 6k on the clock.

I won’t post a pic as they all look pretty similar.

For purely aesthetic reasons I’d like to change the end can.

The only akrapovic I can find for it isn’t that pleasing on the eye, any recommendations ?
 
Any LC GS can will fit, from the 1200 LC in 2013 to the 1250 today, they are all the same.

The euro 3 Akrapovic is the popular choice, easily recognised by its dual intake pipes, but you literally have 100’s of end cans to choose from as the 1200 / 1250 GS lineup all use the same can.

Headers are different on 1200 and 1250, so that would come into play if you went for a full system.

There are tons of threads on here about end cans, mostly 1200 related,but they all fit the 1250, so have at it

If I didn't have the Marmite Pregnant Guppy, I'd most definitely have the Remus 8 for sure.

I faced the same problem as I didn't like the look of the ' heavily pregnant fish' type of Akra... especially for £900 !
I wanted a black end can for my 1250 and bought this HPcorse for just under £600, I wish I had bought the shorter version that they now produce... but still satisfied with my purchase. It's not much louder than original if at all and a feels a bit lighter, worth considering but plenty of other options out there.

I agree re the euro 3 Akra. Looks definitely flow more with the form of the bike. I would say though that I can’t stand the bloody noise on longer runs, but I’m an old fart I’m afraid. Best of luck.
 
I like the Akra, but have the baffles out and it's a bit too fruity at times...

There’s always the GPR’s but they use the old school strap mounting.
Just make sure the distributor sends the right baffle though as the straight exit WILL melt your indicator and number plate.

I went with an Arrow
Less than half the price of the Akro and not far off half the Remus
I keep the baffle in as its too loud for me
Nice growl on acceleration
No strap fastening
Everyone has a favourite

My new GS will also arrive in January but I already purchased black Arrow. It's laying in the corner of my living room waiting for the bike.
 
I’ve the same hp corse in me garage in the box. Hoping I get my new 1250 by click and collect in a couple of weeks!

Reading a bit about exhausts for the GS before I bought this Arrow and there was something about having a shorter exhaust wasn't a good move as (non technical) it pulses the shite out of itself
That's probably why all the main ones, Akra, Remus etc are similar length to the original exhaust
Someone may know why if it's true or if it's billy bull shit
 
What’s wrong with the standard pipe?
