I know the bolts that have to be loosened and the need to tap the support bar to
Obtain adjustment, but where do the feeler gauges go to measure end float ?..:nenau

Between rocker post and the rocker arm top is easiest as it usually settles to the bottom

If you adjust them ?? Do them first then check valve clearances

Clearances can change when you adjust the float

I was told by Steptoe to check it at the bottom of the rocker (betwixt it and the rocker shaft support block that you tap to adjust the clearance) - lift the rocker up with the thumb of your other hand to make space for the feeler gauge at the bottom as you measure. For some reason which I've never quite worked out, the clearance measures differently at the top and the bottom of the rocker - probably due to the bottom rocker shaft support block actually sitting at a slight angle relative to the rocker shaft...

I think I'm seeing where to stick the feelers in Neil's photos, top where the metal colour changes in the photo from dark to silver (the head) or at the bottom near the torx and hexagon nut.
Shame his photo hasn't worked showing it.
I'll read that dummies guide though.....thanks :thumb2
