Enduro Gearbox

When I ordered my Camhead GSA I ordered it with the enduro Gbox, which simply has 10% lower first gear.
I am ensured by the dealer that that is what I have got, but it seems the same in first as my friends Camhead GS. Is there any way I can check for certain, does the g/box have any different markings on it etc so that I can confirm.

Speak to BMW Customer Services, give them the VIN number and they will be able to tell you the options on the bike.

Or ride alongside your mate at same speed in 1st - revs should be 10% different.

A bod orders an Enduro box as it is (we assume) a must on his wish list.... and he now cannot tell if it's been fitted.

In short.... I would have been quite happy with the conventional gearbox, if someone had told me it was the Enduro box or visa-versa.

Get your dealer to confirm that it's the Enduro box, you will then be happy. That you cannot tell the difference or maybe now wish that you hadn't bothered as you can't tell the difference is nobodies problem but your own.

You apprear to be comparing a GSA with a GS

A GSA will need at least 10% lower gearing to make up for the extra lard it is carrying compared to a standard GS
