Before you start, yes i have done a search for them, and i have even posted a previous thread asking you guys if you think they are actually worth having!!
After your previous replies, many thanks (and nearly dropping her the other week) i decided it would be nice just for those reasons.

There is lots of info on fitting them and which lights to put on them....but...

Can we have some sort of pole to find out which are most used (meaning fitted with ease, serviceability, not pysically used) and which one's are the best product and best value for the money!??

I ask this as I hear a few of you have got the SW Motech from NN. but on the USA GS site they all talk about Hepco+Becker....I also wondered if the BMW one's were any good????? And what about Touratech?? after all there must be a set which is pretty standard to all GS riders.....I would have though...

so latest checks -

Touratech £212.66 - cheap... ..not
BMW £156.00 (US price converted so no doubt more here)
Hepco+Becker £110.00 (and they also do top bars for £95) - motobins.co.uk
SW Motech £119.00

Cheers to all who read this.............:thumb2

You could of course pay up £15 and conduct your own poll.:thumb2

I have the Hepco & Becker bars including the tank protectors.

Engine Bars are easy to fit, just make sure you fit the right spacers and boltsin the correct places (very close in size). I had to loosen the leftside engine bar to take the left cylinder head off but that was all.

The tank protectors are diferent, you have to remove the nose/beak to mount them up underneath, but the side panel's have to stay roughly in place. Meaning to take your tank off you have to undo the side panel's pull the nose off to get to bolts and then take bars off, this will allow space to take side panel's off properly. They are an all in one bar, no joins:thumb2

I'd like to know this too..........

The BMW ones in Belgium are actually 300 Euros, so expect them to be around £200 in the UK!
I'm leaning towards the BMW ones, together with the Wunderlich side supports that fit on to the BMW crashbars and protect the cylinder heads. Due to the weight difference of around 1.5 KG less, even with the two together, compared with the H&B, SW Motech, etc. Not sure of the weight of the TT ones though!

Thanks Tommo - if i didn't have a sense of humour i would say you were taking the pi**!!!;)

I take it by what you have said, you can have a poll using the site/database. Sorry but i didn't know this.....
