Engine casing colour

I got from an older thread that the engine casing and wheel colour on a 2015 LC was BMW Granit Grey code 963.
Just arrived via eBay and I tried it on a chip I have on the engine casing but it is not the colour. Far too light.
Anyone know what colour it should be?

looks like that's for the casings not the cam covers...

Right colour, wrong code. You need 933 granite gray. That’s what matched mine (2014) for wheels and head covers.

Bmw do about 3 or 4 versions of granite gray, matte, gloss, etc

I must look at the paint I have. It matched the cam covers and wheels perfick.

It's 963. It did the business when the wind blew my 2017 GS off the centre stand and damaged a cam cover. And the rear wheel when I had an accident with a tyre lever...

From the colour of the bottle held against the cam cover, you haven't bothered to shake it properly. Did you shake it at all? It needs a *lot* shaking to mix the metal flake uniformly. It settles out. The same's true of the blue I have for the frame of my 1200R.

That’s the one I purchased, same as op. Didn’t match my 14 bike, not as dark.

Where did you get yours from?
This is a bad colour match. I have shook the bottle plenty but colour way off.

Must have been a big batch if mine was wrong (9 months ago) and op has just got one that doesn’t match either.

RS bike paints gave me the 933 code for a 14 bike and that matched Perfectly. My brother borrowed it to do his 15 plate cam cover Recently and it matched his too. I can’t explain it other than for me And my brother 963 doesn’t match and 933 does.
