and I need a replacement engine cover (if that is what they are called) just the LHS any ideas ?

you probably mean a rocker cover. often on fleabay but also
motorworks , sherlocks, mpotobins etc. not usually expensive.

Bought one off Fleabay for my GS and it turned out to be the wrong colour so I painted it and it came out fab! You'd never know. Cost me about £20. There's a few on at the moment!
