Wonder if anyone else has experienced similar problem. Got home from work last night after a thorough soaking on the M57, filled up at the garage round the corner from my house and pulled into my drive and the bike just stalled. All the electrics seemed ok so tried to re-start. Motor cranked over but failed to catch, smelt petrol so thought that I had flooded it.
It was still pissing down and dark so I whipped out the plugs and cleaned them up, they seemed ok. Tried the bike again later and it started after being cranked over but cut out again. Tried again later same result.
Left the thing until this morning when I tried again, same result stated but cut out. It starts and idles whilst on the side stand, but as soon as you haul it upright to climb aboard the thing cut’s out. Have had a cursory look around the ignition and side stand switch and sprayed WD40 but still get the same result? Suspect the latter switch but that would only be a guess so any pointers welcome.
At least it had the good manners to conk out on my drive rather than on the motorway.
