Engine Number

Trying to locate the engine number on a GS. Tried searching & reading manual.

Any pointers?

Its under the right hand barrel, running vertically.

I'll get back under again. Found it on a GSA but not so far on my GS.

Now got very clean area under the cylinders - plenty of part numbers, no recognisable engine number

Mine is a 2010 and it is under the right barrell. Running vertically up alonside a plastic cover (not sue what it is for)

Mine is an 05 plate - still haven't found it. Maybe I'll ask the dealer if they can find it.
