engine oil type / filler cap

Hello,
I've read that the engine oil recommended for gsa is:
Castrol mineral 20w-50,

As I have just brought a new one , so I will be running it in,

Can I buy any mineral based 20w-50 oil, or does it have to be castrol

I've noticed that the filler plug for the engine oil, requires a 'weird' tool to undo it, ( I'm guessing a security thing) that comes with the bike tool-kit, but can I buy this tool somewhere as a spare.

No problem using another brand of oil matey... just bear in mind that you DON'T need to waste your money on 'MOTORCYCLE' oil... these bikes have a seperate gear box and the clutch is 'dry' - so the additives in 'Bike oil' are completely unnecessary. Any brand of 'Car oil' will be fine - just be sure that the spec is identical to what is recommended.

Ok got that on the oil,
No way am I going to service it during it's warranty period. Just that running in the bike will no doubt use excessive oil during this period, just want to get some for topping up purposes

probably the best idea then is to talk to the dealership - chances are they didn't use Castrol... use what they used... you will probably only need a litre or so...

Should be a wee plastic key type thing in the toolkit for the filler plug

Mine was missing too... don't buy the toll, buy a security replacement. mine was 12 quid from BMW including the torx key.
