About to change my oil and filter on my F700GS and use the bike all year round. Any recommendations on what make of oil ?. I have been using Castrol. Halfa 1200

Any that meets the spec in the hand book will be fine, I use Castrol

Mr High Mileage Micky has only ever used Putoline in his 800, he swears by it. His bike has done 130k or some such mental miles, and still pulls like a train.

What he said. Don't over-think it. Get on line, go into a shop or whatever and get something that meets the spec. If you have a preference for brand get that one, if not get the cheapest. Don't over think it.
