Anybody know what colour the engine paint is and where to get it, BMW don't sell it, Iv'e looked thru previous threads on this subject and been to Halfords for the engine laquer and the hamerite silver but it does'nt match the colour, my 2002 has a very light green tinge to it and its not metallic.

Any ideas, I will be using an airbrush to apply.

Cheers

You can buy the same colour paint, but be advised the finish is applied by a different method, if you are just painting to cover the corrosion it will return

i will supply the part number for the paint tomorrow from work

Pro boxer,

This corrosion issue is a well known problem with the boxers, and probably the Ks as well, do you know BMWs attitutude to this? are we expected to just put up with it and pretend it's not there or are there plans to tackle the problem?

My front casing is looking very shabby and is in need of a repaint, You mention that the BMW paint is applied by a different process, what is the process?

Thanks

Rob

its not a corrosion issue its stonechips, there are a few but they haven't gone under the primer so I thought I'd repaint them before they become a corrosion issue.

If only I could get the right colour paint !!!
