Just eying up the accessory catalogue and spotted the Ergo Seat....

...many reviews I have seen reckon the standard seat is really uncomfortable, I intend to try the stock seat first on a long run as I know some seats work better for some folk than others.

Have those who switched to the Ergo found it a great improvement?

I have a 1050 and the upgrade to the Ergo seat was like night and day....

Got an Ergo seat thrown in with my 1190 so not really gone any distance on the standard one but the Ergo appears fairly comfy.

Thing to remember is that it is 20mm taller than standard as well - an advantage for me but not for most:D

had to try ergo seat on my 1290sa, the standard seat hurts after about 60 miles, then becomes increasingly painful onwards, after 180 torture, and what is worse, the effects start even earlier on the following days!!
ergo is better, but not fantastically so, the extra height thing is an issue for a short arse like me, but not a deal killer. I will see how it goes on my next tour before looking for a better option (sargeant?)
Its a £16k bike how KTM think its right to put such a shit seat on such a great bike is barely credible
KTM certainly have form on this issue, they obviously never ride their own bikes for long

They will probably be most impressed it went 60 miles before needing a top end rebuild :thumb

I have struck a deal on an 1190, will try and do along run on the stock seat and then buy the Ergo if it is not to my liking, the extra height is great for me as I would welcome the extra leg room - and I thought the price was reasonable at £136.
