Hello...

Took a Rallye for a test ride, liked it got one.

Before delivery i swapped a few bits around, got the comfort pack for the seat, and thought nothing of it.

Fitted a Kreiga tail pack today....and discovered that when throwing my leg over it often gets caught. Leaving me in positions Kung Fu Panda wouldn't be able to sustain. I'm 6ft tall and pretty agile.

Is there an in house graceful technique for the mount / dismount?

Also if the bikes running how far away can the separation between bike and key be before the bike stops..,

Hurdle on and Frankie Dettori off :)

Correct dismount for a GS.

I shall give that a go. Hopefully the bike won't shift under the stand..

Stand on the footpeg and then get your leg over.

Far more elegant. :)

That's what I do if my back is playing up. For my other bike, I've ordered a larger rear plate, so my Kreiga isn't on the rear seat, which should make life much easier when getting on or off the bike.

A great distance.....until the fuel runs out? :nenau:blast

The step on the left peg, stand up, right leg over the seat and sit method works a dream on any bike with wide enduro pegs but I found in a standard GS the pegs are a little narrow and it can be a bit unstable. On my F700GS with a Sargent seat it's actually quite hard as the top of the seat is quite high compared to the pegs. Either that or take up a martial art and let those roundhouse kicks going!

I stand on the footpeg like others and hop-on (although I am a short ass and weigh nothing). However, my mate does the same thing and he is a big fella probably weighing 16-17 stone and the side stand seems to take his weight (even with bike fully loaded with luggage). Probably worth keeping the bike in first gear tho incase it lurches forward as you climb on/off...
