Read through this thread several times now, since my machine, over 300 miles since I put it all back together having given it a good clean & service, has developed an erratic tickover.
Yesterday morning the bike started up and sat idling at it's normal, burbly tick-over. 3 - 4 minutes later, booted and spurred, I throw my leg over the beast and start the short journey to work. 2 miles later, as I hit the first 30mph zone, into 3rd gear and part throttle to maintain speed, the bike has lost it's nice burbly idle and seems to be missing a beat ever so slightly. Same on the way home in the evening.
Today did a 70 mile trip and it's only within 30 & 40 mph zones that it's noticable. On the open road, under partial throttle openings to maintain speed the ride /feel from the engine seems normal.
Checked bike over after todays ride - Battery checks out fine. Both plugs on the airbox seem to be seated properly. Took a squint under the airbox and the breather pipe appears to be connected.
Eldest son has worked on Can-Bus equipped cars for years. His solution - disconnect the battery, leave over night, reconnect and see if problem still there. Sounds a bit like the old computer fix, switch off - wait a minute - switch on - see if problem gone away! Maybe the softwares written by Microsoft

.
Airbox off tomorrow if battery "fix" doesn't prove succesful. Re-do everything I did last time, to see if something has worked loose.
Will report back when all done.
