OK - So I have the brochure for the '08 GSA, but doesnt really tell me anything about the ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment), and the sales man at my local dealer didnt know much about it either.

Does someone have a brochure on what it does?

Is the normal ride height lower, then allows you to make it ride higher for off road, or does it just adjust the damping according to load?

(BTW - You'd think BMW Park Lane didn't want to sell bikes as they seem to know bugger all about them...)

I don't have an 08 GSA but I have an 08 GS with ESA. The purpose of ESA is not so much ride height as it is suspension play (although you can see the ride height change a little as you play with the different options.) ESA lets you adjust for load (single, single with luggage, two-up) and it lets you adjust suspension dampening between comfort, normal and sport on the road and three adjustments off road. I haven't put very many miles on my bike yet but I think I can feel a difference. (But I'm still having a time figuring out the settings. :o )
