If i were to unplug both suspension units, what would the effect be?

Would i just get spring rebound and basic damping, or would it lock the shock to the hardest settings ?

or would they sink and offer minimal preload / damping ?

A big yellow light on the dash , and a warning of imminent global extinction if you don’t go to a BMW workshop NOW. I would think.

I would think that they will stay in the position that they were in when you disconnected them. As you wont be able to alter the suspension at all after disconnecting them, why would you?

Because then the suspension would be low & soft, as opposed to a midpoint position and hard as nails ( sorry BMW soft)
