Essentials?

All my bike money goes on fuel, tyres, oil and brakes :)

im with dancata on this.

depends what you want really, yes, extra lights are good, better comfort, and more enduring ride, so suspension, tyres all make a nicer ride.

but if its style over function you want:ymca

Changing the seat. logical?

For me yes......................for others maybe not.....

Although I have been riding the Kalahari with the stock seat lately and it's been just about ok for 6-7 hrs in the sadlle without an Airhawk or Sheepskin

Changing the seat was the first serious modification I did to my bike... made it far more comfortable on long rides with the extra leg room (new seat is an XXH Touratech ebay bargain special) seemed more logical to me to go down that route than lowering the pegs... and thus (perhaps) reducing ground clearance,

equally logical to me was improving the 'dip' by adding spots... and technos rear brakelight panel and in-indicator sidelights.

plus steptoes headguards (of course)

Why invest like 5000 puond in a stock bike then more money in seats, exhausts, extra light then sell the OEM parts (or keep them until selling the whole bike together with oem parts) with less than half the price as new?

All my bike money go in gas, tyres, oil and brakes :)

Why indeed. It's certainly not what I'm doing.

The bike's already been sensibly modified in my opinion - I was just seeing if there were any must haves. I thought maybe there'd be something like a change of bulb for the headlight, a different sprocket size etc..

Thanks anyway.
