Has anybody tried these as an alternative to in ear monitors in crash helmets?

I've got Etymotic ER6i for use with an ipod or similar, and they sound very good indeed. The noise isolation is excellent without the need for custom earplug thingys.

But I've not tried them in a helmet, I tend not to listen to anything while riding.

i have some ER4Ps, they are superb sounding, but would probably stick out too much to fit under my helmet.

I have both the ERP4s and the ER6is, and the 6s are the go for wearing inside a crash helmet (I got them for just that purpose). You can use the 4s at a pinch, but they do stick out more, making them uncomfortable after an hour or so... plus the 6s are a lot cheaper, but still sound pretty darn good.
