Euro 4 fork reflector removal

I pulled them off the forks on my Harley just after I got it (with no trouble) and I do believe that the planet is still revolving? :nenau

I sawed mine off with dental floss

I like them - a little bit of Orange so I can dream of being on a KTM :aidan

They add a nice dash of colour to the boring triple black bikes - so should be compulsory on those bikes and the rest of us should be able to chose.

M&P sell a range of Euro4 reflectors for motorcycle front forks, oblong as well as round - ¿ round ?
And anyway this thread has really made me wonder why I spend time looking at forum threads. Talk about a storm in a teacup.

Euro4 regs came into effect in 2014 and include stipulations that all NEW bikes must have tighter noxious emissions control, an electronic diagnostics facility, ABS or linked braking on machines over 125cc, and automatic headlamp on (AHO) – or daytime running lights, with no switch to turn them off. That last item nearly cost a rider quoted on another forum a hundred euro fine here in Spain for riding daytime with his headlight off.

These Euro4 regs were introduced with the aim of increasing the overall safety potential of motorcycles, making them as environmentally compliant as possible within the limits of 2-wheel transport AND - riders of Hardly Doesanything pose-mobiles please note - reducing the noise made by motorbikes.
For Heaven's sake, ¿ what's the point of disputing the validity of an item designed to increase the visibility of a motorbike, an item now fitted by law to ALL new vehicles - for four forum pages ?

And another aspect of this discussion above, which has slightly raised my hackles, is the slight smear of the currently-fashionable taste for EU-bashing, when it's now clear to anybody with a brain-cell that the Union needs us more than ever, and leaving it will lose many, many people their jobs and livelihoods, and cost the majority much more than they currently pay in dues and taxes.

Mine are now relocated to the corners of my bed, so whilst 'in transit' I don't stub my toe in the dark. Very useful.
