Euro Tour to Muggellooooo....

And and just incase anyones interested... the CBR was awesome throughout and about 3 euros per fill up cheaper :comfort

No aches and pains anymore than CJ on the GS. It was hard work some of the long slower down hill sections but then it was an adventure for sure. It certainly got some looks up in the Alps as people were surprised to see a little sports bike instead of the big trailies and tourers.

For the future I cant think of a bike I'd rather tour on so it wont be a 2 GS garage here anytime soon :P

Great report and pictures!
Thanks for taking the time to write it all up :thumb2

And I'm going back to get the Stelvio at some point... I will not be beaten !:thumb

Similar thing happened to me in 2007 so went back and did it in 2008. :thumb2

It's a great pass but not the best in the Alps. ;)

Enjoyed your write up. Thanks for posting.

Mugello was a great atmosphere... So much better than a UK GP... However a complete ballache to get out of !!.... Definitely worth it.. Though maybe next time we'll get he helicopter in and out !

Nice one! :thumb
That picture of Ella's bike head on with the mountains behind is a cracker.
(Nearly as good as the ones of Ella in the pool. :green gri )
Great write up of what sounds like a great trip.
Don't fret too much about Stelvio, it's good to do it, but the ones you have done make for better riding, IMHO.

CJ---------last year leaving Mugello was the same for us, the oil temp was off the scale, the oil must have been that thin, it was pinking and rattling until I finally got some air past the cylinders but didn't seem to do any harm.

B500 is good isn't it?

Yeh the temp gauge went pretty high and the clutch was smelling pretty bad... !! The B500 was great fun.. Just what we needed after crawling out of Switzerland
