I've recently bought a new (old) '05 1200GS. As the bavarian butt seems to be incompatible with mine, the standard saddle didn't feel comfortable. So I bought another one.. I had a Corbin saddle on my previous bike (Yam XJ900) and was very pleased with it, but looking at the prices of Corbins in Europe I looked around for a more affordable alternative.
I've ordered a saddle from topsellerie in France. (Topsellerie.com). So far I haven't done any rides of more than 1h1/2, so I don't know (yet) if the saddle keeps up to its promises. Sofar I must say that it is not as soft as the standard saddle, but it certainly feels better when riding. Drawback: I'm sitting slightly higher than on a standard saddle, so now I can just touch the ground with both feet... As soon as I have a spot to host pictures, I'll add a few.
Pricing was OK. I bought the saddle for €250 (including a new seat pan) and that price includes the rear seat as well. Must say it was a promotional offer but the regular prices should be around €300.- (you can check the website).
Sending in your own seat pan can save you some euro's. As I did not want to miss an opportunity to ride (given the lousy summer we had sofar) I opted to also buy their seatpan.
Delivery time was ok... I had the saddle within 5 working days from ordering
The saddle comes near complete. The metal bars that seat the saddle onto the bike were also provided, but I exchanged these for the originals including the rubber attachments. Fixing and locking the saddle is slightly more difficult, as the saddle filling dimensions are slightly oversized compared to standard saddle, but in the end it worked out OK.
