Hi all,

I'm wondering, given that the pound has nosedived against the euro, if it's more cost effective to take GBP or Euros to Morocco. I would get roughly parity between the Euro and GBP, does anyone know how many Dirham there are to the Euro and how many to the GBP currently?

if it's going to be more cost effective to take pounds, are there any issues in exchanging GBP to Dirham in Morocco?

I plan to take cash as well as debit card to give me a bit of flexibility. This is for a 5 week trip in April/May this year so appreciate that things may change a bit before then.

Thanks
Steve

It's a good idea to have a cash reserve hidden somewhere on the bike and this might as well be the euros that you will need anyway for the return trip.

What makes no sense is to change sterling into euros, then change the euros into dirhams. Change directly from sterling to dirhams. ATMs are everywhere and save the hassle of waiting in long queues at banks.
