basically, i just want some yes no answers please if you will thank you.

im new to the GS scene and want to know the norms, like does every ones bike vibrate on highish throttle 5000rpm ish? its not a chunky vibration, more of a feet tickling vib.

there is also quite a lot of play in the drive train, if you let the tension off the chain, there is a slap as it catches up again. its like a slack chain but my chain aint slack

once its warm, there is a lot of rattle from the clutch/thrust bearing. is that just because its a tractor engine? OW and while im on about the engine, can i release extra horses from it, ie: de-cat, panel filter, free breathing zorst, re-map's etc etc.

sorry if it been asked before, i have searched but my ability to find wood is obscured by the trees. basically i need help using the search box aswell

5k yes it will vibrate, the chain needs to be slack because of the amount of travel it goes through, and it all depends on how much noise is coming from the clutch basket....

Yep noises are typical to a degree

I don't get much vibes other than a gentleman's tickle through the seat
Rox anti vibe riser eliminated what little I got through the bars, pivot pegz help at the other end

You would get a few more horses no doubt and a different sound track with some additions that you mentioned

You really must be more specific in order to use the "shaking flying urine sample" test for vibration.

Is the flying urine sample shaking like a dog dislodging a peach pit from its arse end, or is it shaking like a dog dislodging a razor blade from its arse end.

The first is usually related to a wheel balance problem. Have you lost a balance weight or changed tires without balancing the wheels?

The second can be related to the chain being overtightened and/or the exhaust hanger below the motor being incorrectly positioned (the washer and rubber hanger, sometimes there can be interference).

Hopefully, your dog will return to normal and your urine sample will fly with less drama.

thanks for the advice guys and the dog chitting razor blades to. i have a small birthday coming up (21 years and 228 months), so im starting a wish list. the seat is getting some comfy padding fitted 1st and then i might see about getting some other goodies.

For less than $100 dollars US you can buy a small cruiser sized AirHawk seat cushion and ride your bike all day without any problems.
Likely the single best improvement you can make to your bike for less than a hundred dollars. The BMW comfort seat has a step in it that locks you into one position and costs about $500 or so.
Once you try the AirHawk with the correct amount of air in it, you will never ride distances without one.
And the dog will thank you!
