As far as I remember they changed to TCK80 in Africa, and back again to tourance in South Africa...

Think you're both wrong there im afraid! The had anakee's fitted (as can clearly be seen on picture above), changed to conti's for the rough stuff and then certainly in the case of LWR, changed back to anakees for the US stage.
