Ex Off Road School Bikes - any good?

Thinking of buying one of the ex BM off road school 1200GS's. Anyone bought one? Any good? They say they've done about 3000 miles, new plastics and a few scuffs but essentially still under warranty etc.

a friend brought one a few years back just over half the price it should have been cosmetically scruffy but mechanically sound and with a warranty, he was over the moon as long as you dont mind some battle scars
