Indeed! The reason for the delay was that BMW replaced the front part of the frames, as a precaution apparently.
Are they half price !
I thinks i have enuff parts now to build a second bike.
I went over to Bahnstormer yesterday to get the bike and took it out for a spin before handing over the cash. Good job I did, the gearbox had a fault, it would stick in gear and not change down. I know there are bikes with dodgy gearboxes out there but this was definitely knackered! Bahnstormer are going to investigate.
Other than the gearbox, the bike didn't really blow me away compared with my twincam, maybe I'll need more time to get acquainted.

What a pain. I assume they're fixing it before you actually hand over the cash? Make sure you take it for a proper two hour test ride first, and if you're not happy, don't buy it.![]()
They may well have been raised by the ORS to make it easier when standing on the pegs. Look at the markers next to the handlebar clamps - there is a range of adjustment there.
Ah, that might help, thanks. Is the adjustment under the top yoke?
No, the handlebar clamps, slacken of 2 bolts on each clamp and rotate the bars back towards the rider by a couple of degrees and try out the position, not enough? repeat the process
If Bahnstormer had given this bike a test ride as opposed to a cursory glance the gearshift problem would have been evident, is it possible they've missed something else? Ask them and tell them your reasons for asking.
If you've already got to this stage it's time to walk. There are plenty of other bikes for sale, including ex ors bikes. My dealer gets them from time to time. This is their last chance as far as I'm concerned, it feels like I'm being treated slightly second class because I am buying an ex ORS bike.
Factor in your time, money, hassle factor, and if you want an LC, you'd be better off getting an ex demo or regular second hand one.
