Has any one fitted a GS 1150 system (headers/g.pipes ) on a GS 1100 ?
If so what if any modifications are needed?
its to go on a gs95 model no cat, will i need to have a cat , n lamda sensor?
as the 1150 collector box has a cat.

can i just remove the cat n just fit the collector box?
without altering the mixture..?

any info much appreciated

I think from memory you can use the front pipes and the cat BUT why not use the front pipes and a Y piece to lower the weight and fit a rear can from an 1150 It should all work okay

You don't "need" the cat and you can't fit the lamda sensor as you probably haven't a plug (or software) just cut it or blank it if you're gonna use the cat exhaust box

ta, my idea is fit the 1150 pipes n use the colector box n fit a stubby end pipe on.
im askin coz i dont want to do this mod n find out its louder than a remus end can that ive taken off today.
bein a guinea pig for many other projects , but bms are still grey teritory to me at the mo

i need to know if any one hase done exactly what im plannin.

I might be wrong but i think that the front pipes have a different bolt fitting into the head,my 1150 ones are definately different to my mates 99 1100.
Mine only has two bolts diagonaly opposite and his has three.

So why don`t you use an 1100 intermediate silencer box a la Remus with a stubby outlet pipe....or just put a stubby outlet on the stock 1100 silencer box ???

Hi Ugg,

It's possible, but not worth the effort & expense. The 1100 headers have 3 studs they mount against on the c/heads, but the 1150 only has 2 studs. Don't think you'll fancy having to swap c/heads as well...

mite try the remus link pipe n see how it sounds or runs????????
not too happy chopin down a standard colector box if its louder than a cheiftan tank, (same noise wen just usin headers without colector box).

stubby on the oe box, have ye done it or know of any one ?
reluctent to chop up prefectly good box , n it sound or run badly.

yup on me watch list
will go more than price now tho.
ive got a remus revelution (wish i cud spell) so dont need anuver
its that tad too loud but beter than standard .
only thing standard get up to 110mph (on race track ) alot smother than remus.
remus runnig v rich, n mid range poor. bla,bla, u get the gist!

keepin standard on 4 now as roads are full o shite!!
