If no one knows a place to get it made up any suggestions on where I can get some pipe or may be another type of guard or extension that will do the job.

Thanks.:thumb

Thanks Dozz. Have heard of them so will call them in the morning and not to far for me to go ether.:thumb

No more HOT panniers

Just had this exhaust extension fitted at Zorstec. Highly recomended and worth the trip over on a freezing M62. Andy really takes the time to get things right and although this was a small job by his standards (check out the web site) still paid attention and made it fit and look right. I showed him the picture I had at the start of the thread but I needed it a little longer to give more clearance to the indicators and plate. Really pleased with the finished job and just need to replace the old end cap bolts with some stainless ones. If you need just a bit of pipe work or a full underseat system for your GS like Marks (Grandtrousers) get in touch with them good quality work :thumb http://http://www.zorstec.net

Nice pipe extension mate:thumb But FFS the tyres have a small amount of debris stuck to them - that is the dirtiest I have ever seen your bike. Oh the shame:D

Hi Mark. Was just letting the tyres cool down after the run back from Zorstec then it was out with the tweezers and cotton gloves to get all that nasty grit off.:D :D :D
What days are you working over Christmas/New Year, I will pop over and say hello.

Here are some "dirty" pictures from last summers jaunt:moped:
First is Lvov second in Croatia on route to Split.

Lifting handle.

Who makes the RT looking lifting handle on the Gs in the first picture, better than my expensive Wunderlich item (now going rusty).
Dave GS:beer:

Hi Dave. The bike is from the ADVrider site and it says the handle is from an RT1100/1150. Not sure but it looks like it is just bolted on. I have had a couple of RTs and the side panel around the handle just unclips so best bet is nip in your friendly  BMW dealer and ask if you can have a peek at one, there is bound to be one in the showroom and see how its fixed on. Here is a parts picture may help

Ted, what pannier system is that on you bike. I like the fold-out 'shelf' concept, allowing for easy carrying of any bag...

Hi rodskogj. Happy Christamas :bounce1

The pannier system is the standard BMW Adventure kit. You can use it with or without the panniers. The system seems to get a lot of bad press on this and other sites because the case securing catches are prone to snapping if you fall of and slide the bike. I have been more than happy with them and there carrying capacity enough for me to do a 6 week trip, just had an ortlib bag for extra stuff like tools, spares etc, and I have fallen of with them attached and apart from scuffed catches and a couple of small dents no problems.
If you get a set make sure they have the optional Offroad security clamps. They lock the boxes to the frames from inside so makes it difficult for scum to steal them:mad: I have a set of Cee Bailey inner bags as well just makes it that much more convenient. If you need some panniers there are pages of info on the site just do a search, type in Panniers and sit back for an hour or two. Bound to find something to suit your type of riding/roads etc. Attached a picture, another showing the load platform. On the USA Advriders site have seen it use for carrying anything from logs to boxs of beer. Hope that helps. By the way the tail lights are a TT extra before you ask.:thumb

PS sorry the picture is a bit bluuuuury but have just had lunch and one ot two glasses of wine so getting verry sleepy an a little wobbly:beer:
