Exhaust flap

So bike was called in for the forks to be sorted, whilst there the health check showed that the exhaust flap is stuck open. Apparently that means a new set of headers :nenau
 
If it’s outside of the guarantee period I’d leave it. You obviously hadn’t noticed that it was slightly more noisy at low revs. Exhaust flaps seem to be more trouble than they’re worth.

Bike is only 12 months old so BMW pay:D
 
The flappy valve is another useless addition foisted on manufacturers by noise legislation, I replaced my headers with cat-less, straight through Keihans before it seized.
 
I have a complete set of stock LC headers and end can (with <2000 miles on them) for sale if you end up needing to buy either or both? All sensible offers considered...
