Exhaust stud length

Do anybody know how long the exhaust studs are?
Ive got one stuck and it needs drilling out tried internal extraction but its not have any of it so I've no choice but to drill it out but i want to know the lenght so i don't drill to far?

thats the total length im pretty sure they dont go into the head more than 15mm

Buy new one first,which you will need ,measure whats stuck out of the head on another stud, tape round the drill bit to correct depth, and away you go,and take care.

The threaded lengths are equal on either side of whatever the technical term for the small (<5mm) gap in the middle is.


If they're 4cm long, where is the rest of the stud?

replacement studs dont seen to come with the flange in the middle but i knew i had a photo some place of one



so best way is to measure how much of one of the good studs it protruding and go with that
