Exhaust Valve Module

As I've now removed the actual flappy bit and refitted the control module that's effectively redundant does anyone have an idea if the module can be removed and the ECU fooled into not knowing?

In the old days you'd just short a terminal or two, but I'm guessing this is a bit more technical than that and there's the need for some circuitry..

Anybody tried?

I am not an expert but I imagine you would need something like a GS911 to de-activate the option on the computer.

why not disconnect it and run the bike to see if the eml comes on?,it might not.

Why would you want to bother?? You've took the valve out, leave it at that, theres no point in causing yourself a headache just for the sake of it, ive been running a bypass pipe now for the last year and a half, no probs, no lights, bike runs sweet, I even had the hilltop remap aswell, just plug the box back in and forget about it, what I also did was find two small grommets just to plug up the holes in the servo box where the cables used to come out, just to stop water etc gettin in

..just because really and so I don't have to wear it out when it's not doing anything and will therefore work again as and when I refit it and buy my water cooled, but if it gets messy I'll just leave it be..

Makes the bike noiser mate, but ive got de cat headers and an akra can and that doesnt sound offensive, just meaty/throaty!, if your running standard headers and can, then itll be just slightly louder, but nothing offensive!

If its left in place but not working the servo motor could seize up. But working normally though not pulling on anything the servo should last for ever. When selling the bike its easier to put back to standard.
