Exhaust ... whats quieter, cooler and lighter than standard

I don't have a problem with the heat ... I just keep moving ;)

Now fitted a Remus Revolution can (Cat removed, again dead easy) along with a Remus free flow larger diameter front pipe :JB

Certainly louder but not offensive and most certainly quicker :thumb

Remus front pipe

Micky, does this freeflow Remus front pipe fit with the stock end can? I.e. will fit aftermarket cans too!

I've got the SR Racing Titanium can on mine and was wondering if there would be any advantage to fitting a bigger/better(?) front pipe ?

47,25 mm is my rough measurement of the Remus header, I red somewhere that the OE can has a gasket if you take it out it will fit the Remus.

My just bought Leovince (needed a less noisy can for a 2 day driving course) fits inside the Remus front pipe ! (so no use for me):blast

I reckon the big gs`s cant keep up anyway so why bother

Noisy

Yes .... the stock end can has a thick asbestos type of washer/seal to downsize it to the original front pipe. Just assemble without it and works a treat :thumb

Just re-read your question ... if the after market end can doesn't have such a spacer and is made to fit the original front pipe exactly, then it won't of course fit on to a larger diameter front pipe :nenau

If I stick this can on my bike, does the engine need remapping??

It may be offensive, but it's cheap, lighter and road legal :thumb

That's not necessarily a plus point, believe me you'll be sick of it within days and I doubt it would pass an ACU noise test or a road one either

Been there already:blast

The bike will be slower with another can on, mine is about 5-10mph slower with a road Remus and CAT, than the stock exhaust and CAT, so the only saving is 2kgs...................so the weight difference means feck all, with something that has a mass of 150kg already

I've put the stock can back on:blast

Nope..................but your ears will...................it is without doubt.................... very, very LOUD and offensive

+2 :thumb2

i ran a scorpion for 2 rides, and took it off the bike and sold it.

IMHO don't bother...

if you want a bit more noise, try the unifilter air filter, and pre filter.

this involves removing the top of the air box, and sounds much better when you crack the throttle open :D

Got a Scorpion can on my XCountry, not too loud, louder than stock, but nowhere near offensively so. Even with no earplugs in, and no one I've ridden with has even commented on it.

i've got a scorpion can on my xmoto, it came with a removable baffle, and yes without the baffle its offensive but with it in it sounds great. managed to get through an MOT with it so cant be too loud.

Thanks Micky.....looks like I can't use it then. I've no intention of going back to stock as the SR Exhaust adds about 4-5 BHP over stock. It sounds great too :blagblah without being offensive. Not sure what it would be like if I took the cat out tho. Has anyone done that with an SR ?

So...Have you got round to finding out?

Also, can you send a picture of your titanium can?
I need help to choose between it and the stainless version (123 euro less...)
Why the titanium?

No, I still have my cat in place.

The reason I chose the Titanium system was weight. Don't have the exact figures but that was why. Picture below.....
