Hi Guys, new to the forum... I have a few burning questions i'd like to ask about the GS. I have a F800Gs trophy on a 12 plate.
Was wondering which exhaust to fit, also has anyone fitted a full system removing the cat? I'd like to do it to remove the annoying hole in the rev range around 3.5/4k revs. Would I need to power command the bike also?
And I have seen a few sat nav cradles that go above the speedo, could anyone point me in the right direction?

Best regards
Mark

Welcome Mark,

As above - the stickys index is normally a good place to start.

A few short bits though - exhaust is a massive topic depending largely on how much you money you want to spend, micrograms you want to shave or decibels emit... i'd be dubious of any claims about massive performance gains.

With regard to full system - i think Remus does one but some folks have just cut out the cat without needing to remap.

Re Power commmander it may be worth a trip to ADVRider - they seem to invest more in them over there.

No idea re over speedo mount as such - some have the BMW adventure touring screen (not the new 8GSA one) that has an ally brace a satnav can be attached to.

Anyway you have days (or weeks) of reading ahead.

Safe travels,

I've got the touring screen on mine, I don't think the support bracket is man enough to mount a satnav on.

This might be what you're thinking of.

However, I use the Alder Enterprises mount (can't find any pics though?). Very secure/stable and just below the clocks when you're riding.

With regards to fuel mapping, might be worth considering a remap by Hilltop Motorcycles. There is plenty of stuff on here in the 1200 section about this but I know that they can and have done 800s as well. I can vouch for the benefits of doing so on a 1200 but it is around £350. Do a search.
