Exped Synmat Cover?

Hi All,

I have an Exped Synmat UL MW and trying to find a cover for it. I know Exped do one (quite expensive) but was wondering if anyone uses any other type they could recommend?

Does the cover help quieten the mat? Mine's so blimmin noisy I'm thinking of changing it. Lovely and warm and comfy but as noisy as eating a packet of crisps at 3 in the morning.

I use a single duvet cover, which I’ve narrowed by running a seam down it’s length on me sewing machine.

I use the Exped one and of course its a perfect fit but expensive however it does stop the noise and enables a decent nights sleep so worth the expense I think

Yes, it is very noisy when moving about on it. Was hoping a cover will reduce the noise?

I got the point it really was interrupting a decent nights sleep being woken up by the noise and after many days of feeling tired on a trip decided to buy it. My logic was my trips cost me a lot of money so need a good nights sleep and it finally solved the issue so in the end worth the investment. Superb mat but without the cover it sounded like a I had an inflatable friend every night which god knows what other campers must have thought

Can’t say I’ve noticed the exped range to be noisy ,some of the rival brand use a Mylar inner which is as noisy as fuck , like sleeping on a bag of crisps .

A single sleeping bag inner should do the trick.
