My 1200GS went for it's yearly service, MOT and another brake failure fault to fix. Nothing new there, but my big suprise came when dealer informed me bike failed MOT because headlight was too high and he could not adjust it. Apparently he noted the headlight bulb had been renewed and suggested the had damaged the fitting so the whole unit had to be replaced. Is this for real! I admit, I did have to change the bulb but certainly did not experience any problems.
Has anyone else had this problem? This bike is really pushing me to my limits, financially and mentally.

My headlamp had a similar issue between delivery and first service, the ball joint had become detached on the bottom adjuster. I could not get it to go back into place (and didn't try too hard as my bike was only a few days old) although some have managed to get it back in place without too much trouble. Do a search on here as there are posts about this issue.

It seemed to be a known issue at the dealer and was sorted out under warranty no problem, if yours is still in warranty I would suggest you have a chat with the dealer or find another who is more understanding.

Sometimes when the bulb is not fitted into the correct slots, it can break the plastic locators, but even if this happens you can put the bulb in place and the clips hold it there.
