Good day lads,

Rami here! I'm in Cork and looking riders to go out exploring the country side and have a good time... anyone out here?!?

I'm on a '08 GS and I love to go out for a ride and just explore the country roads, get lost and then turn on the GPS and return, if there's anyone around the area who wants to come along, you'll be more than welcome.

Give me a shout and we'll make arrangements!

Cheers,
Rami

Hey rami! I would be up for it.I am based in carrignavar, where about are you located?

Cheers,
Steve

Hey Steve, I'm just on the other side of the city in Carrigaline. I normally go out and ride around Minane Bridge, Robert's Cove, Rocky Bay, Nohaval, etc... Possibly out to Kinsale and random roads in the middle. Where do you normally go?

Rami

I have been commuting on a ccm r30 for the last 2 years and doing 200miles a week on a big single cylinder means you never wanna go anywhere!I have started using my super tenere 750 since july and have been trying to get out more and meet up with people.

Most off my spins are usually just around local areas to me-watergrasshill,glenville etc So il happily head any where you wanna go!

Sounds like a plan bud, are you free during weekends? We might be able to go for a run on Sunday if you're up to and the weather checks out...

Also, do you have comms? (Sena, Cardo, etc)

Cheers,
Rami

Depends on the weekend! Should be free this sunday so maybe we could arrange something? and no sorry I do not.

Cheers,
Steve

This Sunday looks OK for me too... send me an email to rtvrtv at gmail.com and we'll make arrangements :)

And don't worry about the coms

It was great craic today, incredible weather and great company.

If anyone wants to join for the next one, give us a shout!

Cheers,
Rami

Maybe you should think about stretching your legs a bit further next year.
Check out http://irishphotorally.com.
It's run by GerryC of this parish. It's good fun but does become addictive.

Looks pretty good indeed, it'll be something that I'll bring up to the CEO (wife) and see if she's up for it. I think we've been to most of the places south, we'll just have to start exploring north.

Now, what do they do with the money? Does it go to charity or something?

Cheers,
Rami

I promise you won't have been to the places Gerry will take you to, even in the south. ;) He always manages to find the most unusual places.

The entry fee is only €10 and is used to cover the cost of running the rally.

It certainly does take you to some strange places.
One of my recent favorites was the Achill Henge. Full size copy of Stone Henge made out of concrete and cut into the side of a hill.
Spectacular views and still have nightmares about getting my K1600 up and down that rocky track with my short legs!
You will also learn a bit about the history of the country.
It's not a competition and there's no pressure to do all of them. It's just a bit of fun and gives you a reason to plan a ride instead of going to the local hangout. Again.
You generally meet and get a yarn with like minded souls at the rally points.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to Gerry and those that help to organise it every year.

For stuff closer to home there's always a variety of options along coast of west cork, nothing like a run out to Glandore on a sunny day.

Throw-in:

- Sheep's Head
- Out around Goleen,
- Anywhere around the Ballingeary / Inchegeelagh Area

In fact anywhere West of Bandon and you cannot go wrong.
