ext - warranty - a query

Hello,
I've just payed for my ext warranty / em cover.

Got emailed the pdf's / confirmation about the policy.

But does this info about my ext warranty get updated on the BMW system ?
Or do I have to carry my confirmation email with me if I require warranty work on the bike when I pop into the dealer / call bmw assit.

The dealer should log onto the BMW system prior to your bike coming in for service to check for any outstanding recalls or service actions. If they do then the system will advise them of your policy details. Whenever my bike had been in for service at NOG they have always confirmed that they know the bike has an extended warranty

The information is there but unfortunately some dealers are not as switched on as NOG

+1 itll be on their system NOG,had my 1st claim friday an my details came straight up of extended warranty

To be on the safe side untill you know for certain that you are on the system print off your confirmation.
I had cause to use Mondial shortly after the extened warranty start the tech who came out wanted to charge me!
(He also denied there was a problem with the FPC and if it had gone wrong once could not possibly fail again.......Terrance,down south......YOU IS AN ARSE)
Its only a piece of paper,seal it in a bag and keep under the seat.
And I ALWAYS take docs like that abroad with me.

Taking them with you if you go abroad makes perfect sense ............. Don't forget your passport, driving licence, insurance cover note & policy booklet, V5C, E111 card, personal insurance & spare key
