Extend route?

Can't make the 'extend route' function work. Right click on last waymarker, but pointer reverts to the regular select function.

As an option, can you join two routes? Both have waymarkers, not waypoints.

Any ideas?

had this problem recently, only around I could find was to clik on route, go to route preferences, and delet the last waypoint of the route. this meant route tool allowed a new waypoint to set and then route could be extended onwards...

Click on the route so it turns yellow, and drag the part between the last two waymarkers so it goes via a new end point. Then double click so the route opens showing the waymarkers and reorder the last two.
