extended bmw warranty!! Is it worth it ???

I pay £35 monthly for the last 2 years. I have ESA on the bike , when the damper leaked , the bill came to £1500 ( they had to change some additional components on the handlebar controls) , so I am ahead . Far as I know only BM offer 9 years or 90000 miles extended warranty on bikes.

I phoned my dealership, who said they do not deal with it and gave me the number of BMW customer services.

And they said that you automaticaly get a letter before it expires inviting you to take up the extra warranty.:D

I'm not exactly sure what the warranty covers, but I worked for Lexus for a while, and if there was a question mark whether something was covered or not, the people with warranties got A LOT more stuff going their way. It was more like 90/10. Big difference.

If you can afford it, go for it.

One more thing...it should be transferrable, so it adds value if you are trying to sell it. AND, if you trade it in for a new bike, you should get some money pro rated to you. Not 100% sure on this, but that's how it worked at Lexus.

xtended warranty

True you get an offer at the end of your two year warranty to extend it for another 12 months for £360 with euro breakdown but you cannot get it if your bikes over two years old and passed its two warranty period and you missed the oppertunity ,one offer only from mondial at that time take it or leave it offer !!!!.If you can afford it its peace of mind as anything can break no matter how well its been made. Its transferable on sale of vehicle. :thumb2

Had a puncture on Friday. Could not use tyre plugger as I could not find the leak. Phoned Mondial/BMW. Technician came out and could not find the leak either. Technician took the wheel and tyre to Pidcocks on Saturday morning (25 miles each way). They eventually found the puncture. I decided to have a new tyre fitted at my expense. Technician waited until tyre fitted and brought it back to my house for 11am saturday morning. I was out on a 200 mile ride by
Saturday afternoon with no p---ing about. He brought the punctured tyre back with him, which on examination I have decided to keep and have it professionally repaired.
Will I take out the warranty next year, you bet!
