So, I got my letter today from BWM offering their Bargain of the Century for £659...One years extended Warranty and international breakdown cover....

To be honest, I'd rather have the Fekin Bike Knicked than pay that sort of Premium...come on! Plus, with all the Mods I've done to CC II, they'd wriggle oot of a claim no doot given half a chance... :(

I have UK recovery for £28 a year for any vehicle I'm in/on and when I go abroad, I'll buy a package to cover me for the time I need....

I've searched previous posts and have even found my own previous 2-peneth worth regarding other companies....but...

Has anyone out there actually bought an extended Warranty from an Independent Warranty company and had a claim....or am I gona have to be the Forum Guinea Oynker... :) not that I feel a claim coming on, I hasten to add!

A friend of mind has a Landrover Discovery. He had the Land Rover warranty with it as he bought it new.Yes, he used it, plenty of times.
The warranty has run out and like Bm, it's really expensive. He's now got a warranty with the RAC. Don't know how it works but give them a call.
Good luck.

I got into this earlier this year and the reason given by BWM for the huuuuuge increase is down to the government. Apparently warranties are now seen as insurance and because of this must be monitored by an official government body.Sounds like another stitchup to me but does not explain why you can still obtain one cheaper via the RAC etc. :spitfire
