Bugger, I've just dropped and broken my Maxtor external hard drive
I'm not worried about extracting anything off it as it's only a back up of my PC and as long as that doesn't go tits up before replacing the drive, no worries.
Now when I bought the hard drive there was no such thing as affordable solid state USB memory. Looking on ebay now though, they seem very cheap
So, what do peeps in the know think; is it worth getting another mechanical hard drive or is solid state the way to go and, if so, any reccomendations please?
