Extra lighting - worth it or not?

What do dealers charge to supply and fit BMW auxiliary lights?
I bought an oem bracket with after market led spots (bought on here from a fellow tosser). I installed them myself it's relatively straight forward. Connecting them is a piggy back fuse under the front seat. The lights are always on and remain on for 30secs after you turn the ignition off.
Total cost £67 and worth every penny as they're really bright and most importantly other road users see you.

I went on a night ride with two GS riding mates last night. Both had Clearwater lights.

Get them.

+1 I have them on my SA - admittedly I'll be travelling faster than any GS bu they are the business!

An option that would appear to cover both see and be seen tasks would be the Denali D2. They have a switchable output where you wire into full beam to get full power. Half power with dip is pretty impressive too

I lashed out on a Hybrid set of Clearwater (Krista + Erica) for my 2014 GSW. Have been saving up for them for ages.

They are VERY VERY bright on Hi beam - Amazingly bright.

However, on low beam at the lowest setting- 10% - I was getting flashed by every 3rd or 4th person!!, so I don't run them on low beam at nite anymore.

Darlas on a controllable dimmer are more than enough for me as running lights.

Anybody tried Denali LED lights. Saw some at Motorcycle Live yesterday. Seemed good but always useful to have some first hand experience.

I have the Denali mini's on my XR and they are great little lights, easy to install and only about £170 from R & G. I will be using them in the future and not the BMW ones which i have had before as 5 hundy is way too much!

Many thanks.

I had Clearwater Ericas on my XR and now on a GS. The mounting system is entirely different, so the XR mounting brackets are

superfluous and available. They would not suit any other bike but an XR, but just about any lamps could be used with them. Any interest?
