Extra Power socket req'd

I need to fit an extra power socket to drive my girlfriends heated gloves, I want to put it on the left side plastic cover just below the seat, I thought that the TE might have come with one, but no worries.

1. Has anyone done this?

2. Is there a dedicated power lead/socket hidden anywhere under the seat that I can plug into to make the job easier, or do I have to go to the battery.

3. Do I get the spare hella (or is it powerlet) socket from BMW or Ebay?

I went straight to the battery, fused, and keep the socket under the pillion seat until swimbo needs it. then I just dangle the odd inch or so out of the side of the seat for her to plug into
