Extra Power

Can anybody help?????
Im looking to put an extra power point up near my dash (GSA).
But am a bit confused as to where to cut the wire into.
Does anybody have any pics to help me.

Easy!.......some folks cobble together a socket wired straight to the battery (with an in-line fuse) thereby getting by the Canbus system. Others (myself included) go straight to BMW and buy the kit that plugs into the existing harness (at the back of the underseat socket). The BMW kit fits just great and comes with a proper booklet showing you clearly where everything goes and where to drill the hole for the new socket. Cot me about $70US.

if you wire it direct to the battery you have uninterapted supply and no shut down by can bus

I used an aftermarket socket and wired it to rear socket using twin connectors.
Cost under a tenner.
