I fancy wiring a couple of extra side lights to my GS. Its a 2011 TB. Never having worked on Canbus can anyone identify an easy way to add extra sidelights that come on with the side light! and don't throw up Canbus errors etc.

You could use LED lights. They use so little current that the should not affect the can bus and also won't put any load on your battery.

Any pictures of your led lights?I tapped off the spare terminal under the front left side of my 2008 GSA (used for the Sat Nav by many). Nippy Norman does a connector that fits it. I have 2 LED strips on the front of my fairing/screen and LEDs in the hand guards. All my LEDs stay on for a minute or two after parking up and provide lots of fun when people say 'oi mate you left your lights on'. I magically turn them off by saying 'lights off' or snapping my fingers' etc.![]()
Tap into the sidelight to trigger a relay which then triggers your lights. Don't forget to add an inline fuse close to the battery terminal.
Or, if you want to add several items you can wire a relayed fusebox direct to the battery again triggered from a suitable source.
I'll assume you have enough knowledge and experience to do all the above.

Does the relay on the sidelights not throw the canbus into an attack?
