I am selling my GS and have a number extras that I'll be selling, not sure if you'll be interested. Have a brand new tinted screen, Sat Nav IV, full Remus system, Touratech Engine Bars, Panniers and back box, sw-motech gear change lever and pegs. The fitting of Gear Assist Pro is a one way thing as I understand it. Once it's there it can't be removed. Don't know why but recommend homework is done before going this route. I have similar probs with mine and regret fitting it now.

My thoughts: Akra and then Nav5 (depending on whether you'll tour or not). I've no interest in putting the Gear Assist on my new GSA. Just got back from the Pyrenees after 3000 miles and the integrated Nav5 is brilliant. Those who say get the 660 are either too impecunious or just too tight to spend the extra, but it is worth it for long trips. The zooming in/out and using the multiple features from the wheel is a pleasure and much easier than reaching up and messing around on the screen.

Well said that man, but I've a weakness for the gear assist. Then a 5. Akrapovic. Me. Too much dosh now. IMHO

Mudslings, Gear Assist Pro. The Akro, no thanks.....I reckon my Mivv Suono is as well made, beautiful welding, looks nicer and is less than half the price.

Gear Assist Pro is a hoot though, I'd go for that, it's so much more than a track day toy

Just fitted the Mivv Suono and it sounds brilliant .... Jury still out on the pro assist !

Nav 5 is a big leap forward over the 4 / 660 imho, best to be patient though as they come up on here from time to time, which is where I bought mine, for well under list price (sub £500).

Well, Thanks for the advice guys much appreciated

I ordered the gear assist and the Akro I am not touring this year so will be on the look out for a Nav V later in the year.

I will also grab myself a fender extender and mudsling before the summer comes to an end

But the best news is the dealer phoned yesterday and she will be here on Tuesday pick up at the weekend

Cant wait It's like I'm a five year old on christmas eve
