F450GS-Wankpanzerlicht !

Rang my local dealer today and threatened to buy one..apparently I'll have to curb my enthusiasm and control my childish excitement for the time being..........

I knew this anyway but it was worth asking

Seems that availability could commence Feb/March 2026

TBH I expected that response... I'm still a bit giddy though :thumby:

Lets hope it rides as good as it looks.
I'm impressed with how BMW have kept the weight down, just a shame it doesn't have 18/21 inch wheels.
Can't wait to have a ride on one.

Not sure which site RocketMan was using , as he lives in Portugal.
But I see that UK site has no prices .
Looking on the German site and simply adding sensible stuff like luggage and engine bars brings the price up to over €11k and for some reason they don’t list the Akra that the UK site does.

The BMW accessories are a silly price .

I guess you could buy the ‘basic’ bike and then wait for aftermarket stuff ?

The base Trophy at £7500 ish isn’t too bad but at over £10k by adding some luggage and protection makes it a bit pricey .
 
Went into my local Motorrad dealer today to try and find out some more info the 450GS. They assured me it would be in available the first week of April and they have x 6 deposits paid already. They will be at the bike show in Birmingham to see in the flesh and have a perch on🤫

Heads up.....all 450's will come with "mag" wheels, if you ordered "spokes" they are fitted by the dealer, guess what? Won't be available for launch.

Well, if the German configurator is any guide £9200 for a Trophy with spoked wheels, a rear rack and touring screen…hmmm!
 
Pricing between £7k and £8k sounds attractive but as has been said previously adding the obvious bits, like crash bars, tail rack, pannier support and panniers, at BMW pricing, knocks it way up the £scale --- even without the spoked wheels. A £10k ticket is a completely different proposition to £8k.

What did the 310 £start at ? Under £6 ? Did it sell well before non BMW accesories were available ? Did the 310 side stand issue cool the market long enough to let accessory options become available ?

If the same Indian producers, that made accessories for the 310, get parts for the 450 designed, produced and available close to the April/ May2026 launch -- that would be big +.

Would BMW mind that much if they could sell the initial launch bikes quickly and get the 450 established -- if they had after market bits put on them 🤒🤔.?

Thought quite a lot of bits looked cheap…
Disappointed, fancied one too
