The brand-new BMW #ConceptF450GS – built for everyday adventures!

This concept gives a preview of the future standard version of a lightweight GS with top performance & serious off-road capabilities.

The newly developed two-cylinder engine at 450cc, 48 hp & a weight of 175 kg will get the most out of the A2 class – even at low rotational speeds.

My first bike was a R45, 35bhp, around 80mph down hill, around 200Kg. Why not, if it has a range of 100+miles, keep at 80 on the motorway, a true 175kg. I am in.

"We will only adjust the seat height for better accessibility and easier handling. As an alternative to the cross-spoke wheels (19 inches front, 17 inches rear), lightweight but high-strength cast aluminium wheels in the same dimensions are also conceivable."

Anyone seen any hints on price tag? BMW going be price competitve with the Himmy 450 / CFM450 / yet to see pricing on new 390 adv.

How on earth do they make a 450 weight 175kg? That's 5kg more than my HP2

Yeah, but is with that redickuls head light assembly?

5kg heavier than an HP2?

My thoughts exactly as the weight is huge for a 450cc off road bike plus the wheel sizes restrict the tyre size. I like the look of it but lugging that weight around off road for a 450 isnt great

Whilst the weight is there and hard to shed, wonder if there is a power rating, and can be de-restricted for full licence holders?

But it will loose more sales by being lardy than gain by being A2 compliant. In this country at least.
Very true . But in mainland Europe it’ll probably sell well as they put sanity before vanity .

I think that is possible with quite a few bikes so it would certainly be a good option for some folk
I suspect it will actually go quite well as it is
